Blacklisting It is with regret that action must often be taken for the benefit of the community; whether to champion one person or the server as a whole. The Cult of the Zenith and allied guilds have agreed to formally and actively embargo role playing contact, event inclusion, and active participation of events with the guilds listed on this page, as a sign of solidarity. Harassment of players is contrary to the terms of service of the World of Warcraft, as well as to the spirit of the game itself. Beyond that, in many locations, it is an illegal practice. The actions taken by Blizzard Entertainment to remedy and prevent these forms of harassment are difficult to employ; in-game ignore functions can only extend so far, and employed Game Masters have only certain discretionary powers. In this light, it is required that measures be taken to show those guilty of such action that they have done wrong, and that they should take measures to remedy that same. The guilds listed below are those that have, by omission or active pursuit, endorsed or taken part in bullying and harassment of the players of characters in the World of Warcraft. Whether to facilitate some form of grandiose scheme, to indulge some perverted need for causing pain, or simply to get attention, the behavior of members of these guilds is undesireable. Intended by this blacklist is the following: That the guildmasters involved accept that members of their guild have, or do, take part in active bullying or harassment, and to take disciplinary action against the offending member or members. The presence of these guilds on this list indicates that the guildmasters involved have either:
If you are a member of the guilds listed below, contact your guild master. Zenithas, of the Cult of the Zenith is contactable by in-game mail or chat facilities, and if on an alternate character, can be reached by contacting his guild members for internal notification. In the event of a guild master giving derogatory, dismissive, or otherwise neglectful contact, they will simply remain here without notice on their contact. The removal of a guild from this list indicates that they have taken steps to remedy the situation their guild member or members have caused, to the satisfaction of those wronged. Should be you be a member of one of the guilds below, and you feel that your guild master will be unwilling to take steps to rectify the wrongs of the server, then we suggest seeking a guild that does not actively endorse harassing players. Should you wish to dispute the inclusion of a guild on this list, please follow the steps outlined above on contacting Zenithas; outline the reason for your complaint in detail, and include contact links or url locations with your communication to help levy your point. This matter is treated seriously, regardless of your standing in the community. All members are just as important; guild master or guildless, old hand or new player. The list below is not maintained for personal reasons; despite the personal nature of the event that started this list's formation, the list is maintained to encourage a better environment for role play, and for enjoyment, of the game called "The World of Warcraft". In case some people are eager to contact me by mail and simply rage about being listed, it is strongly urged that you read the above text. I am unmoved by you trying to intimidate me into removing you from a list that says you enjoy doing just that. The Order of Charon Thanks to the contact and callous disregard, the following is going to be blacklisted from further events and plots hosted by Zenithas, though no active embargo is encouraged to formal alliances of the Cult of the Zenith. The worst forms of evil are those that hide in the merit of good intentions. Members of the Coldstar Merchant Co other than Blacksand and discovered alts are not included, and in fact are still welcomed to continue business as usual. |
